Gautam Adani’s Group secures majority stake in news agency IANS, expanding presence in media

Adani Enterprises, the conglomerate overseeing Gautam Adani's media ventures, has revealed the acquisition of a 50.50% stake in news agency IANS India Pvt Ltd through its subsidiary, AMG Media Networks Ltd. The move signifies billionaire Gautam Adani's foray into media expansion, following previous acquisitions of Quintillion Business Media and a significant stake in broadcaster NDTV.

The regulatory filing did not disclose the acquisition amount. Adani Enterprises emphasized that AMG Media Networks Ltd would exercise operational and management control over IANS, solidifying the news agency as a subsidiary.
